Privacy Notice

An applicant’s name and date of birth are needed to create an appointment record and these will be held indefinitely. All applicant details and records are kept securely and in the strictest of confidence by Visa Medicals and are accessible only to our vetted staff. We share information only with the relevant immigration authorities or other medical service providers involved directly in the applicant’s care, eg. further testing or specialist review. We use phone, fax and email to communicate with these other service providers as securely as possible, but we are unable to accept responsibility for breaches of external communication routes beyond our control. We will not share a person’s information with anyone else including their GP, unless they give us permission to do so. The only exceptions are where a patient is considered to be a danger to themselves or others, or when required to do so by a court order. Any contact details an applicant provides will only be used to contact them about their visa medical examination. Personal details and notes are kept securely and applicants have the right to complain to the ICO if they think there is a problem with the handling of their data. Your personal and medical information will be stored and maintained under the provisions of the Data Protection Act, 1998.
